During their travels Dad, who loved to cook and experiment in
the kitchen, had picked up and collected many wonderful recipes...
With the end of the war over two million men and women began looking for jobs.
Dad was fortunate to find work on the shipping dock of Byron Jackson Oil
Tools in Los Angeles. For the next 40 years he continued with BJ and rose
through the ranks to salesman, district manager, division manager,
international managing director for Europe and the Middle East, vice
president and eventually president of BJ-Hughes, a combination of Byron
Jackson and Hughes Tool Company. By the time he retired he and his family
had lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Holland. He and his wife Bette later
lived in London, England and finally Houston, Texas, the company headquarters.
During their travels Dad, who loved to cook and experiment in the kitchen,
had picked up and collected many wonderful recipes, including those he
learned at two French Gourmet Cooking Schools in Provence, France. This
cook book is the collection that was gathered over a 30 plus year period
from countries all over the world.
